A scanning program that also recognizes text

Prizmo 3 - Scanning & OCR allows you to scan most types of file, including screenshots, but its most powerful aspect is its ability to recognize text from files such as image files, and then convert what it reads into usable text that you may copy-and-paste.

Add files, preview them and convert them

Prizmo 3 - Scanning & OCR is a tool for opening and scanning different documents. The main aim is to scan documents, and then read the text off the documents so that the text may be used. For example, you may have a receipt with codes that you wish to add into your tax accounts, but you cannot copy-and-paste the code into your books, so you use this tool and harvest the information that way.

A reasonable tool for heavy users

Prizmo 3 - Scanning & OCR should mostly by used by businesses. The user interface looks better than previous versions since the MacOS vibrancy and translucency features remove the amateur programming look that the previous versions had. This tool is suitable for people who need images, PDFs, and various other files scanned on a regular basis (maybe a small business), but it is much too expensive for most people to comfortably afford unless they are going to be heavy users.

PROS

  • Not a bad solution for Jpeg scanning
  • Average-to-good optical character recognition
  • You may scan receipts, invoices, and even screenshots
  • The interface uses macOS translucency and vibrancy

CONS

  • They make you pay extra for the automater
  • Wildly more expensive than its competitors
  • Scanning PDFs requires a complicated workaround solution
  • Far better tutorials and instructions are needed
